Περιγραφή
What does Romanía mean today—not merely as a vanished state, but as a living historical, spiritual and civilisational consciousness?

Ecumenical Romanía explores this question from within the Orthodox and Romeic tradition.

For Ioannis Con. Neonakis, Romanía is more than the historical polity conventionally called the Byzantine Empire. It is a way of understanding the human person, community, history and political life: a living continuity centred on Christ, the Church and the ecumenical horizon of the Romeoi.

The book develops the idea of Ecumenical Romanía as a supranational, ecumenical and soteriological proposal for the twenty-first century. It does not call for a simple return to the past. Rather, it asks whether the experience and civilisation of Romeosyne can offer principles for a renewed common life in the present and the future.

Written for both specialists and general readers, the volume also includes an extensive Analytical Glossary, explaining key theological, patristic, ecclesial, historical and civilisational terms that have no exact equivalent in English.
